How to choose flowers for someone sick?


If someone close is sick or has met with an accident, flowers are the best means to cheer that person and to show that you care for him. But there are a few things that you must keep in mind when choosing get well soon flowers.

Find out whether the person for whom you are buying get well flowers is in the hospital or at his own home. For sending flowers to hospital, you must avoid roses and other traditional flowers with strong fragrance due to allergy risk. Orchids are better as they are exotic and do not pose any allergy risk.

When buying get well flowers, keep in mind the type of illness that the person is suffering from. If your friend is suffering from asthma or any other respiratory disease, send fresh plants rather than sending flowers. Flowers with their smell and pollen can trigger sneezing, and other allergy reactions.

If your friend or colleague is in the hospital for quite a long time, avoid sending flowers that die out soon. Give long lasting flowers instead such as a potted rose plant to cheer him up.

Though men and women have different preferences when it comes to flowers, you can send bold, bright, and colourful flowers to someone who is sick. Flowers with their bright and bold colors would lift up the spirit of the diseased person and would make her feel lot better.

Send the right get well flowers. The recipient would appreciate that you care for him and had put in so much thought in making her/him feel better.
