8 Flower preservatives to make flowers afresh for long time



If you want any flower or flower bouquets to stay fresh for a long time, then use below mentioned household tips to preserve them.


1) Aspirin: It is tried way to keep flowers fresh overtime. Put a crushed Aspirin in vase water before putting your flowers in it.

2) Bleach: Add ¼ teaspoon of bleach into 1 liter of water in your vase. It will keep the water from being cloudy and will avoid the growth of bacteria.

3) Coins: Add a copper penny and a teaspoon of sugar. The copper penny will act as an acidifier and inhibit the growth of bacteria.

4) Hair Spray: A spritz of hair spray will help the flowers to look fresh.

5) Soda: Put ¼ cup of soda into the water of base, full of cut flowers. The sugar available in soda will make the flowers to bloom for long.

6) Sugar: Pour 3 teaspoon of sugar and 2 teaspoon of vinegar into 1 liter of warm water. Put this water into vase. The sugar nourishes the plant and the vinegar inhibits the growth of bacteria.

7) Apple Slider Vinegar: Mix 2 teaspoon of apple slider vinegar and 2 teaspoon of sugar with vase’s water. Be sure to change the water after every few days.

8) Vodka: Add few drops of vodka into vase water for antibacterial action.
